
Swimming & Diving Programs Earn Scholar All-America Team Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Brown men's and women's swimming & diving teams were both named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the fall semester in an announcement made by the organization on Wednesday. To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the fall semester.
The men's squad recorded the second highest GPA for an Ivy League school, tying Yale, with the eighth highest cumulative grade point average. The Bears closed out the regular season by winning their last two conference meets, against Columbia and Cornell, and broke a combined six program records over the course of the year.
The women posted the third-highest GPA in Ivy League and were 19th out of 182 programs. Brown picked up conference wins over Penn and Dartmouth in the regular season.
The women will have one final tune-up on Feb. 7-8 at the Boston Winter Open before hosting the Ivy League Championships at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center Feb. 19 through Feb. 22. The men's championship will be held at Harvard Feb. 26 through Feb. 29.
