
Costa, Daly Earn Brown Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Women's gymnastics sophomore Mei Li Costa and men's indoor track & field senior Cameron Daly have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Jan. 20-26, Brown announced on Monday.
Mei Li Costa, Gymnastics, Sophomore, Lawrenceville, N.J.
Sophomore Mei Li Costa matched her own school record with a 9.900 on bars as Brown placed second with a season-high 191.875 in its home opener against the University of Bridgeport and Rhode Island College on Sunday. A native of Lawrenceville, N.J., Costa took first place on bars with her career-high 9.900 and also came in third on vault with a season-best 9.700.
Cameron Daly, Men's Indoor Track & Field, Senior, Meredith, N.H.
Senior Cameron Daly broke the Brown school record in the 5,000 meters at the Boston University Terrier Invitational this past weekend. A native of Meredith, N.H., Daly posted a second-place overall performance out of 99 competitors in the 5,000 meters, crossing the finish line in a record-breaking time of 14:00.31, as he broke the previous school record of 14:07.60 set by Jeff Gaudette '05 in 2005.
