
Women’s Basketball Unveils 2019-20 Schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University women's basketball will host 11 home games, compete in the Ocean State Tip-Off Tournament, and make a trip to the state of Florida as part of its 2019-20 schedule, head coach Sarah Behn announced on Wednesday.

Highlights from the Bears' 2019-20 schedule include home match-ups with all seven other Ivy League schools and four non-conference opponents, the fourth annual Ocean State Tip-Off Tournament at Bryant in early December, and a trip to Florida to meet FIU and USF in late December.
The Bears close the regular season with 14 straight Ivy League games with their sights set on earning a spot in the Ivy League Tournament via a top-four finish in the conference standings.
Brown opens its season with back-to-back home games, welcoming Bryant (Nov. 5) and Maine (Nov. 11) to the Pizzitola Sports Center. The team then embarks on a four-game road swing with contests at Central Connecticut (Nov. 14), Longwood (Nov. 16), Massachusetts (Nov. 21), and New Hampshire (Nov. 24).
The squad returns home to host Merrimack (Nov. 26) and Holy Cross (Dec. 1) at Williams Court.
This year's Ocean State Tip-Off Tournament will take place at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., from Dec. 7-8. The Bears will meet Rhode Island in the semifinals on Dec. 7 and face either Providence College or the host Bulldogs on Dec. 8.
Closing out its non-conference slate, Brown plays at Fairfield (Dec. 22) before traveling to the Sunshine State to meet Florida International (Dec. 29) and South Florida (Dec. 30) to conclude the 2019 calendar year.
Brown opens Ivy League play with a pair of games against Yale, traveling to New Haven, Conn., on Jan. 17 before hosting the Bulldogs on Jan. 25.
The Bears then compete in four straight road games, squaring off with Cornell (Jan. 31), Columbia (Feb. 1), Dartmouth (Feb. 7), and Harvard (Feb. 8).
Mirroring the road trip, the team returns to Providence for four consecutive home games, hosting Penn (Feb. 14, Think Pink), Princeton (Feb. 15, National Girls & Women in Sports Day), Columbia (Feb. 21, Faculty Appreciation Day), and Cornell (Feb. 22).
Over the final two weekends of the regular season, the Bears play at Princeton (Feb. 28) and at Penn (Feb. 29) before hosting Harvard (Mar. 6) and Dartmouth (Mar. 7, Senior Night).
The 2020 Ivy League Tournament will take place at Harvard's Lavietes Pavilion in Cambridge, Mass., with the top four teams in the conference standings qualifying for the tournament.
Video of all Brown women's basketball home contests and all Ivy League games, home and away, will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
