
Women’s Golf’s Pipatjarasgit Qualifies for U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University women's golf rising sophomore Pinya Pipatjarasgit has qualified for the United States Golf Association's 2019 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, which will take place at SentryWorld in Stevens Point, Wis., from July 22-27.
A native of Sylvania, Ohio, Pipatjarasgit qualified for the event after placing second and shooting a 73 at the U.S. Girls' Junior Qualifier at Lake Forest Golf Club on Friday, June 21.
During her freshman season, Pipatjarasgit paced the Bears with a fourth-place finish at the Brown Bear Invitational in October. She also came in ninth at the FAU Winter Warm-Up in February and led Brown at the Ivy League Championship with a 16th-place finish.
SentryWorld is a par-72, 6,307-yard course that opened in 1982 and will welcome the 156-player field for the U.S. Girls Junior, an event that began in 1949.
