
Heather Marini, Isaac Whitney, Andrew Goodman and Paul Frisone Named To Brown Football Staff

Providence, R.I. -  Brown head football coach James Perry has named Heather Marini, Isaac Whitney '18, Andrew Goodman and Paul Frisone to the 2019 coaching staff.  Marini has been selected the Offensive Quality Control coach, Whitney the Defensive Quality Control coach, Goodman the Director of Football Operations and Frisone the Coordinator of Football Operations & Player Development.

Marini brings a wealth of coaching experience to Brown, most recently with the New York Jets as a summer scouting specialist. A native of Australia, she earned a Bachelor of Emergency Health from Monash University and a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University. She worked with the Monash Warriors Gridiron Club as the head coach for three seasons and Quarterbacks Coach/Coaching Development for three years. Marini also played competitively for Gridiron Victoria Women's Tackle Football where she was the Rookie of the Year and First Team All-State, and Monash Warriors Women's Gridiron, where she was the team's offensive MVP, captain and quarterback.

Whitney was a standout wide receiver and kick returner for the Brown football team, graduating in 2018 with an AB degree in Economics. He returns to College Hill after a year in the financial world. He was the Brown football freshman MVP in 2014, earning the Kevin Kehoe Award, and earned the Broomhead Memorial Trophy in 2017, given to the player who best represents the team and University.Â

Goodman was the Recruiting Coordinator for Operations and Visits at Penn State for the last two seasons. A 2012 graduate of Penn State with a bachelors in Supply Chain & Information Systems, Goodman lettered in football for the Nittany Lions at the wide receiver position for the 2008-2011 seasons. He is currently working towards his Masters in Educational Leadership at Penn State. Goodman was the Assistant Director of Football Operations & Recruiting at Princeton from March 2015 to December 2016, and interned with the Buffalo Bills for two summers.

A 20-year veteran of the Brown football staff, Frisone has a new role of Coordinator of Football Operations & Player Development. He was the Director of Player Personnel at Brown in 2018 and has had coaching duties on the defensive side of the ball since his arrival as a defensive assistant in 2000. A 1993 graduate of Western New England College where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Government, Frisone has two Ivy championships under his belt as a defensive coach at Brown. He also has experience at Union College as a three-year defensive line coach.
