Jeffers Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Carleen Jeffers (Ridgewood, N.J.) of the Brown women's cross country and track & field teams has earned Google Cloud First Team Academic All-District honors, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Jeffers earned First Team All-Ivy honors during the cross country season when she placed fifth overall at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championship, as she completed the 6-kilometer course in a time of 20:58.0. She also placed tenth at Penn State Nationals earlier in the season. She is a computational biology concentrator and also earned Academic All-Ivy accolades.

The 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes outstanding student-athletes in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
