PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior goalkeeper Lauren Burns recorded her 10th double-figure save performance of the season to earn Player of the Game honors as No. 5 seed Brown University women's water polo topped No. 6 seed George Washington University, 7-5, in a consolation game at the 2019 Collegiate Water Polo Association Championship.
Playing at home inside the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center on Sunday morning, the Bears (21-13) used a 3-0 run spanning the third and fourth quarters to turn a 4-4 tie into a 7-4 lead en route to the win over the Colonials (6-15).
