Li Places Eighth as Men’s Golf Finishes Play at Yale Spring Invitational

New Haven, CT - Junior Kenneth Li placed eighth individually and the Brown men's golf team shot 367 in the second round of the 36-hole Yale Spring Invitational to place 11thoverall at the par 70, 6825 yard Yale Golf Course.
Yale shot a two-round 711 to claim the team title by five shots over Bucknell (716), followed by Penn (717), Siena (718), Harvard (719), St. Bonaventure (723), St. John's (724), Hartford (729), Yale B (737), Fairfield (745), Brown (753) and Fordham (758).
"We had some solid individual rounds, but collectively me need to find some consistency," said head coach Mike Hughes.
Li shot 141 on rounds of 71-70 to finish one-over par for the tournament and earn a top eight finish. Junior Chuck Isgar opened at 78, but finished with an even par 70 to place 36thindividually at 148.
Senior Sasha Lobel shot 79-73—152, while senior Bryan Hong came in at 162 on rounds of 81-81—162. Freshman Cole Kemmerer carded 86-77—163.
Coach Mike Hughes' squad will compete in the Ivy League Championship next week, April 19-21, at the Hidden Creek CC in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
