Orlando, Fla. - Brown's women's golf team completed its Spring Trip at the Harvard Invitational, finishing sixth with a 54-hole total of 919 at the par 72, 6133 yard Orange County National Golf Club.
Princeton captured the team title by 11 shots with a three-round 880, followed by Harvard (891), Penn (891), Dartmouth (909), Navy (909), Brown (919), Yale (929) and Rollins (933).
"The team had a good week of preparing for the 36-18 hole Harvard Invitational," said head coach Danielle Griffiths. "They played well and two freshmen shined on the first day of 36 holes - Pinya Pipatjarasgit (150) and Hailey Freedman (152). The depth of our team is growing and we want to keep this momentum going. On the final round Naomi Lee paced the Bears with a 73 and Roshannah Gaur shot 74. This young team works hard and prepares well and this was a true team effort. We look forward to moving everyone in the right direction as we prepare for The Ivy League championship at the end of April."
Sophomore Naomi Lee paced the Bears and placed 21stindividually with rounds of 79-77-73—229, followed by freshman Pinya Pipatjarasgit at 230 on rounds of 75-75-80. Freshman Hailey Freedman came in at 233 (78-74-81) while sophomore Brittany Park shot 78-76-80—234.
Freshman Roshannah Gaur had a 54-hole 239 on rounds of 81-84-74 and senior Elizabeth Doykan shot 82-87-78—247. Sophomore Winnie McCabe (86-83-78—247) and junior Madeleine Garay (85-84-80—249) also competed for the Bears.
Brown is back in action again at Match Madness, April 6-7, at the Fox Hollow GC in Branchburgh, New Jersey.
