Women’s Rugby’s Thomas Named NIRA Tier One All-American

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman Zy Thomas (Fairfield, Calif.) of the Brown women's rugby team was named National Intercollegiate Ruby Association (NIRA) Tier One Honorable Mention for 15s, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.
Thomas was one of 23 student-athletes selected as an All-American, with 15 First Team and eight Honorable Mention selections.
Thomas had a strong first season with the Bears, recording five tries on the season. The rookie lead Brown in scoring in a 38-27 win versus West Chester on Sept. 22 with a career-best three tries.
