Throughout the month of March, Brown Athletics will celebrate Women's History Month through a series of profiles. Over the course of the month, the Bears will recognize women who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.

Caroline Kepnes '99, Author and Screenwriter
An acclaimed author and screenwriter, Caroline Kepnes '99 is the author of You, Hidden Bodies, and Providence. In 2014, Kepnes published You, and the novel's television adaptation became a hit on Netflix in 2018. An estimated 40 million people streamed the series in its first month on Netflix while the book was translated into 19 languages. The show's second season is also slated for Netflix and is based on Hidden Bodies, the sequel to You which Kepnes published in 2016. Kepnes published Providence: A Novel in 2018 and is currently working on a third installment of the You series. She has also worked as a pop culture journalist for Entertainment Weekly and as a TV writer on 7th Heaven and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Originally from Cape Cod, Mass., and a product of Barnstable High School, she now writes full-time and lives in Los Angeles.
