Providence, R.I. - Brown junior quarterback EJ Perry (Andover, MA), who led the nation and set a single season Ivy League record for total offense, headlined the 2019 All-Ivy football team, earning First Team All-Ivy honors in a vote of the eight Ivy League football coaches. Joining Perry on the All-Ivy team for the Bears are Second Team selections, senior defensive tackle Michael Hoecht (Oakwood, OH) and junior left tackle Chad Broome-Webster (Orlando, FL), along with Honorable Mention selections, senior wide receiver Jakob Prall (Tipp City, OH), senior wide receiver Livingstone Harriott (Central Islip, NY) and senior tight end Emerson Logie (New Canaan, CT).
Perry's inaugural season at Brown was one for the record books. He led the nation with 367.8 yards per game of total offense and shattered the Ivy League single season record for total offense with 3,678 total yards, eclipsing the previous Ivy League record of 3,553 yards by Princeton's Chad Kanoff in 2017. Perry also set a new Brown record with 560 plays, while his 22 passing touchdowns rank 18thin the Ivy record book. His 2,948 passing yards are fifth in Brown history and 15thin league history and his 251 completions rank sixth all-time at Brown and 12thin the conference history. Perry had three games that ranked in the top 10 in Brown history in total offense: 512 total yards vs. Rhode Island (2nd, 5thin Ivy history), 471 total yards vs. Yale (4th, 17thIvy) and 463 total yards vs. Cornell (7th,22ndIvy). His 94-yard touchdown run vs. Bryant was the longest run in the Ivy league this season and 10thlongest in Ivy football history.
Hoecht was a dominant force on the Bears' defensive line and finished his career with 17 sacks, third best in Brown football history. A two-year team captain, his four sacks and nine tackles for loss ranked 11thin the Ivy League. He finished the season as Brown's fifth leading tackler with 42 total tackles, including 29 solo hits. He also had seven quarterback hurries.
Broome-Webster played a key role in the resurgence of the Brown offense that improved in every offensive category in 2019. As a team, Brown finished second in the Ivy League in total offense (454.5 yards per game) and second in passing offense (301.1 yards per game), while boasting the nation's leader in total offense.
Prall led the Bears in both receptions (48) and receiving yards (594), and made four touchdown catches. His 4.8 receptions per game were seventh in the Ivy League, while his 59.4 receiving yards were 10thin the conference. Prall had a season-high 11 receptions vs. Dartmouth and made seven catches at Cornell. His 112 receiving yards vs. Princeton were a season high.
A four-year standout, Harriott found his home at wide receiver, making 27 catches for 464 yards, despite missing two games. He hit his stride at the end of the season with six catches for 117 yards and a touchdown vs. Columbia and five receptions for 115 yards vs. Dartmouth. He finished his career with 82 catches and 1,032 receiving yards.
After missing the 2018 season due to injury, Logie morphed into one of the top tight ends in the Ivy League, making 27 catches for 282 yards and two touchdowns. He made five catches vs. Dartmouth, including an 18-yard touchdown reception. Logie had five catches for a season-high 87 yards vs. Rhode Island and had four receptions against both Cornell and Yale.
