Men’s Hockey’s Nieto, Harris Collect ECAC Weekly Awards

ALBANY, N.Y. – Gavin Nieto (Yorba Linda, Calif.) and Jake Harris (Toronto, Ontario) of the Brown men's hockey team were named the ECAC Goalie and Rookie of the Week, respectively, announced by the league office on Monday.
Nieto backstopped the Bears to a pair of road wins over the weekend. He posted his first shutout of the season with a 3-0 win at Rensselaer on Friday and then made 26 saves in a win over No. 16 Union the following night, including 13 stops in the third period.
Harris posted his first multiple-point effort of the season in the win over Union on Saturday. He scored the equalizer in the opening period and then assisted on the game winner late in the third, finishing the game with a +2 rating.
Brown will continue its five-game road swing this Saturday when the Bears visit Yale at 7 PM.
Video of all home contests and most ECAC games, home and away, will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Fans can subscribe and view games by purchasing a monthly package for $4.99 or a yearly package for $49.99.
