EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. – While in the midst of winter break and the final off week before the start of the Ivy League season, Brown University women's basketball spent some time on Wednesday, Jan. 9 to help out at a middle school basketball practice at The Wolf School.
Sophomore McKenna Dale (Storrs, Conn.), freshmen Alana Kelley (Phoenix, Ariz.), Nina Mehta (San Francisco, Calif.), and Maddie Mullin (Wellesley, Mass.), and operations coordinator Olivia Healy gave some tips to the students at The Wolf School during their afternoon practice and worked with them on the fundamentals of the game.
Founded in 1999, The Wolf School educates around 50 complex learners and special education students per year in grades K-8. The school serves children with multiple learning differences and works with students from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut in classrooms with low teacher-to-student ratios.
