
No. 24 Women's Water Polo's Dakan, Heilman Earn ACWPC All-America

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – No. 24 Brown University women's water polo senior goalkeeper Marisol Dakan and senior utility Jessica Heilman have earned Honorable Mention ACWPC All-America accolades, the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced on Monday.
The Bears' all-time leader in saves, Dakan (Pasadena, Calif.) garnered ACWPC All-America honors for the second time in her career. She concluded her career as Brown's all-time leader in saves with 1,131 career stops. This past year she earned Second Team CWPA All-Tournament Team honors, gained CWPA Defensive Player of the Week four times (Feb. 9, Mar. 29, Apr. 5, Apr. 18), and totaled 245 saves.
A native of Menlo Park, Calif., Heilman earned Second Team CWPA All-Tournament Team honors this past spring. She led the team with 69 goals and ranked second on the team in steals (77), field blocks (16), and ejections drawn (49). Heilman scored over 60 goals in each of her last three seasons and closed her career with 231 career goals.
The duo helped the Bears finish the season as the No. 24 ranked program in the final CWPA Poll.
