
George Grell Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

Providence, R.I. – Brown freshman midfielder George Grell (Short Hills, NJ) has been named the Ivy League's Rookie of the Week after having a major impact in Brown's key 14-13 Ivy League win over Princeton, registering four points by scoring a career high two goals, while adding two assists.
Grell had two unassisted goals in the first half, his second to give the Bears an 8-6 lead. Wearing the familiar number four jersey worn by former Brown Tewaaraton Award winner Dylan Molloy '17, Grell then assisted on two fourth quarter goals, both by Jackson Newsome '19, to tie the game at 11-11 and then at 12-12, with 4:03 remaining.
A graduate of St. Peter's Prep, Grell now has scored four goals and handed out two assists in his first season at Brown.
The Bears are back in action again on Saturday, April 7, traveling to Philadelphia to battle Penn. Face-off is 1:30 pm at Franklin Field.
