
Skiing Announces Three Member Class

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown skiing head coach Alex Norden has announced the program's three-member class of 2022, set to begin competition with the Bears for the 2019 season.
Class of 2022:
Maggie Beardsley
Hometown: Sandy Hook, Conn.
High School: Green Mountain Valley School
- Recipient of a National Merit Scholar commendation
- Raced in the FIS development and Eastern Cup series in the 2017-18 season. Competed in the FIS Development Championships in 2018. Qualified for the Eastern Alpine Championships and Can-Ams in 2016
- Competed in varsity soccer and lacrosse at GMVS. Co-captained her soccer team in 2017
Alexa Dannis
Hometown: Hillsdale, N.Y.
High School: Holderness School
- Member of the Cum Laude Society and the recipient of the prize for English Literature
- Skied for Aspen Valley Ski Club for the 2018 season
- Qualified for US Alpine Skiing Nationals and Junior Nationals in 2018. Captain of the Eastern Alpine Ski Team while representing the east during U16/U19 Nationals three years in a row. Recorded one top 10 finish
- Played three years of varsity soccer at Holderness as their starting goalie
Avery Vilandrie
Hometown: Peacham, Vt.
High School: Green Mountain Valley School
- Model UN leader at GMVS
- Competed consistently on the Eastern Cup circuit during 2017 and 2018. Qualified for Nationals as a U16 in 2016. Currently captain of her varsity lacrosse team. GMVS lacrosse team won the Vermont DII lacrosse championships in 2017
