#11 Women’s Squash Defeats #14 George Washington To Close First Semester

The 11^th-ranked Brown's women's squash team closed out the first semester with a 6-3 win over #14 George Washington in a match played at Trinity College. The Bears improve to 2-1 with the victory.

"The team are very pleased with the evening's match," said Brown head coach Stuart leGassick. "I saw some accomplished squash capped off with all three freshmen registering wins on the road!"

After dropping matches at #1 and #2, Brown captured six of the next seven matches.

Freshman Abigail Dichter led the way with a 3-0 win at number three, followed by freshman Isabella Kearns, a 3-1 winner at number four.

The Bears captured matches six through nine with wins from freshman Sara Syed (3-2), junior Scarlett Bergam (3-0), sophomore Kimmel (3-0) and senior Hannah Safford (3-0) each earning decisions.
