
Hammaker, Rawlings Earn Brown Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Field hockey senior goalkeeper Katie Hammaker and men's water polo junior center Hudson Rawlings have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 15-21, Brown announced on Monday.
Katie Hammaker, Field Hockey, Senior, Ephrata, Pa.
Senior goalkeeper Katie Hammaker recorded back-to-back shutouts on the week, totaling nine saves and leading the Bears to a pair of victories. A native of Ephrata, Pa., she played 54:02 and made five stops in a 4-0 victory at Holy Cross on Tuesday. In a 2-0 win over Cornell on Saturday, Hammaker helped lead the Bears to their first Ivy win with four saves in a full 70:00 of action. She now has five career shutouts, placing her ninth all-time at Brown.
Hudson Rawlings, Men's Water Polo, Junior, Murrieta, Calif.
Junior center Hudson Rawlings tallied five goals, three assists, four steals, 11 ejections drawn, and three field blocks last week as Brown went 3-1 at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament. A native of Murrieta, Calif., Rawlings scored two goals and drew four ejections in a 13-12 win over No. 18 Loyola Marymount and repeated the feat with two goals and four ejections drawn in an 11-3 win over No. 19 San Jose State.
