Men's Water Polo Beats LIU in NWPC First Round

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - No. 3 Brown men's water polo began the NWPC Tournament with a 13-11 victory over No. 6 LIU on Friday evening at the Katherine Coleman Aquatics Center.

With the win, the Bears advance to take on No. 2 Harvard on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Bears started the game strong, leading 6-4 against the Sharks in the first half. Jaxson Tierney led the Bears with three goals alongside Filip Josipovic, Hugo Molnar, Dominik Balla, Ramzi Megalli, and Griffin Tunney, all of whom contributed two goals for Brown. Daniel Hadar had the team high of five assists.

Kole Newman saved eight goals from the Sharks, with Dimitrios Kratimenos saving another three.
