Women’s Crew Completes Racing at 54th Head of the Charles

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Brown University women's crew placed seventh in the women's championship four and 11th in the women's championship eight to complete racing at the 54th Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday afternoon on the Charles River.
In the women's championship four (event 52), the Bears (bow 1) placed seventh out of 19 entries with a time of 20:22.886. Brown topped eighth-place Cornell (20:27.194) by over four seconds. DRV Potsdam won the race with a time of 19:41.020.
Finishing the day with the women's championship eight (event 57), Brown (bow 11) came in 11th place out of a field of 27 boats behind a time of 17:39.070. The Bears clipped 12th-place Radcliffe (17:46.122) by better than seven seconds. USRowing won the event with a time of 16:41.776.
On Saturday, Brown had two boats race under the association of the Friends of Brown Women's Crew with the Bears coming in seventh place in the women's alumnae eight and 11th place in the women's master eight.
Next, Brown concludes its fall season at the Princeton Chase in Princeton, N.J., on Sunday, Oct. 28.
