Providence, R.I. - Brown and Virginia battled in an epic match at the Pizzitoila Sports Center's Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion, but the Bears eventually fell to the Cavaliers by a 5-4 margin. The difference in the match may have been two five game matches won by 16th ranked Virginia at seven and nine.

The 13th ranked Brown team won matches at two, four, six and eight with freshman Maximo Moyer leading the way with a a 3-1 victory at two. Junior Philip Demeulenaere earned a 3-1 win at four, sophomore Blake Gilbert-Bono won 3-1 at six and sophomore Harrison Boyer grabbed a 3-1 decision at eight.

Brown heads to Maine for the weekend, playing at Bates on Saturday, January 27 at 4:00 pm, and at Bowdoin on Sunday, January 28.
