
Women's Soccer's Waldman Wins Ivy League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown University women's soccer senior forward Mikela Waldman has won Ivy League Player of the Week honors after posting four points and helping lead Brown to a pair of wins last week, the Ivy League announced on Monday.
A native of San Francisco, Calif., Waldman tallied four points on a goal and two assists to help lead Brown to a 2-0 week. She scored the game-winning goal on her sixth goal of the year in a 2-0 win over Massachusetts on Thursday. She posted two assists – her third career two-assist game – in a 2-1 win over CCSU on Sunday and has now notched a point in three straight games.
The Lowell High School product ranks first in the Ivy League in points (15), goals (six), and game-winning goals (three). In the NCAA rankings, she stands 15th in points per game (1.88) and 27th in goals per game (0.75).
Waldman and the Bears return to play when they host Sacred Heart on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. before opening Ivy League play at home against Dartmouth on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
