
Brown Football Game vs. URI To Be Played At Night

Providence, R.I. - The Brown vs. Rhode Island football game on Saturday, September 30 will now be played under the lights at Brown Stadium. The 102nd Governor's Cup football game between the Bears and Rams will kick-off at 7:00 pm.
Brown and URI have played three previous night games at Brown Stadium, in 2011, 2013 and 2015, drawing great crowds to the iconic stadium on the East Side. The two teams battled before a crowd of 10,231 in the second ever night game at Brown Stadium in 2011.
Overall, Brown has played seven previous night games at Brown Stadium, also playing Harvard in 2010, 2012 and 2014, and Princeton in 2013.
Three banks of portable Musco lights will illuminate Brown Stadium, with two banks of temporary lights towering above the home side of the stadium, and one bank of lights on the visitor's side.
