
Men's Soccer Hosts Penn on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's soccer team will return to Ivy League play on Saturday when the Bears play host to Penn at Stevenson-Pincince Field (7 PM).

IVY LEAGUE NETWORK

LAST TIME OUT
Brown blanked UMass Lowell, 1-0, in midweek nonconference action on Tuesday. Toby Howell provided the only score of the match, scoring in the 13th minute for his team-high fifth tally of the season. Quinn English picked up the assist on the throw-in for his fourth helpe. Joey Cipicchio made three saves to earn his fifth shutout.
SCOUTING PENN
Penn heads into Providence at 3-10-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the Ivies after falling to No. 25 West Virginia, 1-0, on Tuesday. In the Ivies, Penn has lost to both Dartmouth and Columbia, beaten Yale and tied Cornell. Joe Swenson is tied for the league lead with seven goals and is ranked second in the league with 16 points. Jake Kohlbrenner and Jerel Blades are tied for second on the club with five points apiece. Scott Forbes has played a majority of the time in net for a 2-7-0 record. He enters the weekend with a 1.89 goals-against average and a .553 save percentage.
LAST TIME AGAINST PENN
Brown fell on the road to Penn, 2-1, in overtime last season. Rodrigo D'Andrea picked up an assist before the Quakers scored the game winner in the 97th minute.
LEAGUE RANKINGS
Brown is ranked second in the Ivy League in goals against average, checking in at a .800 clip, while keeper Joey Cipicchio is second with a .788 save percentage.

After Penn, Brown will hit the road for a nonconference game at Hofstra on Tuesday. The match is set for 7 PM.
