
Men's Soccer Set to Host UMass Lowell on Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's soccer team will take a break from Ivy League play on Tuesday night when then Bears play host to UMass Lowell at Stevenson-Pincince Field (7 PM).

LAST TIME OUT
Brown was edged at Cornell, 1-0, in double overtime on Saturday. Ryan Hill scored the game winner in the 101st minute to secure the victory for the Big Red. Senior Joey Cipicchio had three saves for the Bears, while Toby Howell paced the team with four shots.
SCOUTING UMASS LOWELL
UMass Lowell has won three of its last four games and enters Tuesday's match at 7-5-1 overall. Lowell downed Binghamton on Saturday, 2-0, to clinch the program's first-ever berth in the America East Championship. Jakov Basic and Dario Jovanovski lead the team with ten points apiece, while Basic leads the way with four goals. Austin Kroll has played every minute of every game in net and heads into the match with a 1.26 goals-against average and a .660 save percentage. UMass Lowell is undefeated at home this season (5-0-1) but is 2-5 on the road. The River Hawks are averaging 1.46 goals scored per contest.
LAST TIME AGAINST UMASS LOWELL
Brown fell to the River Hawks on the road, 2-1, in last year's meeting between the two teams. Jack Hagstrom scored the lone goal for the Bears.
COMMON OPPONENTS
Brown and UMass Lowell have played three common opponents this season as both squads challenged Boston University, Harvard and Quinnipiac. Brown went 2-0-1 against those opponents, drawing even against Harvard, while Lowell also went 2-0-1 but secured the tie against Quinnipiac.

After UMass Lowell, the Bears will head right back into Ivy League play when the Bears host Penn on Saturday night (7 PM).
