ALBANY, N.Y. – The Brown men's hockey team placed 25 student-athletes on the 2015-16 ECAC All-Academic Team, announced Thursday by the league office. Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters.
Brown ranked third among all ECAC schools with 25 honorees, tied with Yale, and trailed only Dartmouth (26) and Quinnipiac (26). In addition, rising freshman Tommy Marchin (Algonac, Mich.) was named to the Commissioner's List, which showcased each program's top scholar from the 2015-16 season. Marchin, who ranked second on the team with 27 points, was also named to the ECAC All-Rookie Team at the end of the season.
