Women's Squash Team Banquet 2016

Providence, RI - The Brown women's squash team wrapped up its season with the Annual Squash Team Banquet at the Faculty Club with the announcement of team captains for 2016-17, the presentation of team awards and the announcement of the incoming Class of 2020.
Among several awards presented, the team and coaches recognized senior captains Isabel Pitaro and Emily Richmond , and juniors Isabel Scherl, Hannah Hay- Smith for earning CSA Scholar-Athlete Awards.
There were several awards presented at the team banquet. The Best record at the Howe Cup went to Freshman Katrina Northrop who went 3-0 at the tournament. The Most Improved Player Award went to Hannah Safford '19 and Captain and Senior Skylar Murphy. The Melucci-Morphy Award was awarded to sophomore Quincy Beck and Emily Richmond '16
The Kate Brodsky Award was shared by Emily Richmond '16 and Skylar Murphy '16.
The team voted for the captains for the 2015-16 season, and the Bears will be led by rising seniors Isabel Scherl '17, Hannah Hay-Smith '17 and Quincy Beck '18.
Head Coach Stuart le Gassick thanked seniors Emily Richmond, Skylar Murphy, Isabel Pitaro and Vanessa Wang for their wonderful leadership and contributions to the Squash team over their four years on College Hill.
The Bears are looking forward to the arrival on campus of four freshmen, Hannah Seckendorf, Shira Bedford, Isabel Young and Scarlett Bergam in the fall of 2016.
The squash program is looking forward to the Graduation weekend this May. On Friday the 27th May 2016 the team will host - at the Pizzitola Squash Courts - an Alumni reunion in the late afternoon between 5pm and 7pm. We hope that we will see you there before the Campus Dance.
