
Jack Kelly Named USILA/Lids Team Sports National Defensive Player of the Week

Providence, R.I. - Brown senior All-American goalie Jack Kelly (West Islip, NY) has been named the USILA/Lids Team Sports National Defensive Player of the Week for leading the second-ranked Bears to victories over Providence on Tuesday and Cornell on Saturday to clinch the Ivy League Championship.
Kelly was essential in Brown clinching the Ivy title vs. Cornell, making nine of his 12 saves in the first half against the Big Red and allowing just five goals overall. He also excelled in Brown's win over Providence, allowing six goals, while making 10 saves. His save percentage was .667 for the week.
Kelly leads the country in save percentage (.621), ranks 10th in the nation in goals against average (8.0), and 12th nationally in saves per game (11.46).
The Bears are back in action tonight at home against Dartmouth at Stevenson-Pincince Field with the opportunity to win the Ivy title outright and post an unbeaten Ivy League mark. Face-off is 7:00 pm on the Ivy League Digital Network.
