
Men's Crew Downs Northeastern to Claim Dreissigacker Cup

BOSTON – Brown men's crew picked up a pair of impressive victories over Northeastern, including a win the Varsity Eight to take back the Dreissigacker Cup, in the 52nd meeting between the two programs Saturday morning on the Charles River.
In the final race of the day, the varsity eight, the Bears broke free from the Huskies in the second quarter of the race and cruised to victory down the stretch at 5:43.4 to bring the Dreissigacker Cup back to Providence. Northeastern crossed the line in a time of 5:45.2.
Brown also earned a win in the second varsity race at 5:52.4 as the Bears used a good start and a strong finish to hold off the Huskies at 5:54.1. The Brown 3V crossed at 6:00.6.
Northeastern captured a win in the varsity four race in a time of 6:46.5, while Brown finished at 6:50.1.
Brown will return home next weekend when the Bears host Dartmouth on Saturday.
