Womens' Squash Takes 6-3 Win Over Williams

Providence, R.I. – In an evenly matched competition, 12 Brown and 11Williams battled at the Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion with the Bears coming away with the upset victory, 6-3, over the Ephs.

Sophomore Quincy Beck set the pace for the Bears with an easy 11-2, 11-3, 11-2 win at number one.

After losses at numbers two and three, Brown won matches four through eight. Senior Isabel Pitaro was a 3-1 winner at four; senior Emily Richmond captured a 3-0 decision at number five; freshman Katrina Northrop won at number six, 3-1; junior Hannah Hay-Smith captured a 3-0 decision at number seven; and freshman Purvi Goel won at number eight, 3-0.

The Bears are at #2 Penn on Saturday, February 5 at 12 noon, and #11 Princeton on Sunday, February 6 at 2:30 pm.
