Skiing Concludes Action in USCSA Eastern Regionals

GREENWOOD, Maine – The Brown skiing team competed in the USCSA Eastern Regional Championship this past weekend, placing fourth in Saturday's race and second in Sunday's event. The 11-team regional was held at Mt. Abram.
For Saturday's race, junior Natalie Pearl (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) placed first overall with a time of 1:12.20. Senior Katie Liebowitz (Bedford, N.Y.) also had a strong finish, grabbing 14th, crossing the line at 1:16.71.
On Sunday, junior Ali Gunesch (Sandy, Ore.), just coming off being named ECSC MacConnell Division Skier of the Year, won the event with a time of 1:18.15. Junior Sylvie Bertrand (Hanover, N.H.) crossed the line in 10th (1:20.71) and junior Sarah Bell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished 20th (1:26.69).
