PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown field hockey team will travel to No. 11 Princeton on Saturday, Oct. 15 for a 12:00 p.m. contest at Bedford Field.

EARLIER IN THE WEEK
Brown was defeated by Quinnipiac, 2-0, in its last game on Monday, Oct. 10 at Goldberger Family Field. Sophomore Katie Hammaker (Ephrata, Pa.) made three saves in the game while senior Jaclyn Torres (Andover, Mass.) registered two of Brown's four shots on goal.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Princeton enters Saturday's match-up ranked No. 11 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll. The Tigers carry a 7-5 overall record and an undefeated 3-0 mark in Ivy League action. Princeton has faced seven ranked teams this season, going 2-5. The Tigers most recently fell to No. 2 Duke, 2-1, in overtime on Sunday, Oct. 9. In conference play, the Tigers defeated Dartmouth (4-0, Sept. 24), Yale (3-0, Oct. 1) and Columbia (6-0, Oct. 7). Princeton is tied for first in the Ivy League in goals scored, with 32 on the year (2.67 per game) and is powered by Ryan McCarthy, who leads the team in goals (8) and points (19). Carlotta von Gierke is the team's assist leader with five on the season. Grace Baylis has started all 12 games between the pipes, and has put together a 1.57 goals-against average and a 0.672 save percentage while tallying three shutouts.
LAST TIME VS. PRINCETON
Last season's match-up saw the the No. 19 Tigers defeat Brown, 4-2, at Goldberger Family Field on Oct. 17. With the score tied 2-2 in the first half, Princeton scored the go-ahead goal at just before the close of the opening stanza (34:00) and added a tally in the second half (60:53) to win the game.
THE BEARS
Senior Lucy Green (Providence, R.I.) leads Brown in points with nine, on four goals and one assists. Senior Jaclyn Torres (Andover, Mass.) also shares the goal-lead (4) with Green. Four players have registered two assists on the team - freshman Corinne Condie (St. Louis, Mo.), freshman Ali Dunning (Amersham, England), sophomore Rachel Lanouette (Windham, N.H.) and sophomore Ellie Seid (Larchmont, N.Y.).
HAMMAKER A STOPPING FORCE
Sophomore goalie Katie Hammaker (Ephrata, Pa.) has tallied nine or more saves in in four of the team's 10 games. The netminder has two shut outs on the season, a 1.68 goals against average and a 0.761 save percentage.
HONORS ON HONORS
The Bears have received one Ivy League Player of the Week honor and two Rookie of the Week accolades this season. Sophomore Ellie Seid (Larchmont, N.Y.) received Brown's Player of the Week while freshmen Hannah Leckey (Madison, Conn.) and Corinne Condie (St. Louis, Mo.) earned Rookie of the Week nods.
