#12 Brown Women's Squash Takes Thrilling 5-4 Win Over George Washington; Beats Mt. Holyoke

With the match tied, 4-4, all eyes were on Hannah Hay-Smith, playing number seven for the Bears. The match was in doubt when the junior came through with a 3-0 win to give the 12^th ranked Brown women's squash team a thrilling 5-4 win over #13 George Washington in a match played in New Haven, CT.

Freshman Purvi Goel also earned a big win for the Bears at number eight, rallying from 2-0 down to earn a 3-2 victory.

Also earning wins for the Bears were junior Isabel Scherl, a 3-0 decision at number three; senior Emily Richmond, who captured a 3-0 win at number five; and freshman Katrina Northrop, a 3-0 winner at number six.

In addition to the win over George Washington, the Bears also captured a 9-0 win over Mt. Holyoke.

The Bears host William on Tuesday, February 2 at the Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion, starting at 5pm
