
Women's Squash Awards, Team Captains, Incoming Freshmen Announced At Annual Team Banquet

Providence, RI - The Brown women's squash team wrapped up its season with the Annual Squash Team Banquet at the Faculty Club in Providence in April.
Among several awards presented, the team and coaches recognized senior tri-captains Alexandra White, Mina Shakarshy and Katherine Elliott-Moskwa, along with juniors Isabel Pitaro and Emily Richmond for earning CSA Scholar-Athlete Awards. Shakarshy was also the recipient of the Winter Academic All Ivy Award.
There were several awards presented at the team banquet. The Best record at the Howe Cup went to Elliott-Moskwa who went 3-0 at the tournament. The Most Improved Player award went to Isabel Scherl '17. The Melucci-Morphy Award was awarded to freshman Quincy Beck.
The Kate Brodsky Award was shared by Elliott-Moskwa and Shakarshy.
Head Coach Stuart le Gassick thanked seniors Katherine Elliot-Moskwa, Mina Shakarshy and Alexandra White for their wonderful leadership and contributions to the Squash team over their four years on College Hill.
The Bears are looking forward to the arrival on campus of four freshmen, Purvi Goel, Poddar Megha, Katrina Northrop and Hannah Safford in the fall of 2015.
