Brown Places 8th At Met Intercollegiate

Purchase, N.Y. - The Brown men's golf team opened its spring season at the Met Intercollegiate and placed eighth in the 36-hole event played at the Century Country Club and the Old Oaks Country Club.

Brown's 36-hole 659 (328-331) came in behind first place Temple (616), who captured the team title by nine shots over Army (625).

Senior captain Justin Miller paced the Bears and placed 16^th individually on rounds of 77-81—158. Junior Jack Wilson placed 29^th individually after shooting 84-80—164/

Freshman Ben Warner finished 32^nd on rounds of 81-84—165, while sophomore Chad Carlson came in at 172 (85-87). Freshman Kevin Li also scored for the Bears, shooting 89-88—177.

Coach Mike Hughes team will tee it up next at the Princeton Invitational, April 11-12, at the Springdale CC in Princeton, New Jersey.
