New Haven, CT – Brown completed play at the 54-hole Yale Spring Invitational, placing 13th at the par-70, 6,775 yard Yale Golf Course after shooting 317-313-320. Wake Forest University ran away with the team championship with a 54-hole 825, winning by 28 shots over second place Clemson (853) in the 14-team tournament.
Senior captain Justin Miller led the Brown team and placed45th individually after shooting 75-70-78—323. A pair of freshmen also excelled, with Kevin Li shooting 69-77-80—226, and Ben Warner coming in with scores of 82-72-74—228.
Sophomore Chad Carlson shot 234 on rounds of 75-76-83. Freshman Sam Lafferty, playing his first collegiate match after playing ice hockey in the winter, shot 72-80-84—236. Sophomore Connor Lynch also scored for the Bears with rounds of 86-84-86—256.
Brown concludes its season next Friday-Sunday, April 24-26, at the Ivy League Championship, held at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, PA.
