LAST TIME OUT
Facing a halftime deadlock, the Brown women's lacrosse team exploded for 11 goals in the final 30 minutes to claim a 13-6 win over the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks on Tuesday night at Stevenson Field.
The Bears (7-6) conclude their 2015 home slate and will hit the road for the final two contests of the season. UMass-Lowell drops to 0-14 in their first season as a Division I program.
For the second straight game, the Bears were led by freshman Lindsey Repp (Scarsdale, N.Y.), who tallied her first career hat trick in the second half on Tuesday. Goalkeeper Kellie Roddy surrendered just five goals with turning away eight shots in 54:52 of action.
EARNING A REPP-UTATION
Freshman Lindsey Repp's speed and ability to finish has paid dividends for the Bears over the last two outings, as the rookie has posted five goals and an assist in wins over Columbia and UMass-Lowell.
LANGMUIR EARNS FIRST COLLEGIATE POINTS
Brown rookie and Providence native Hannah Langmuir notched two assists at Albany on Wednesday in just her second appearance of the season for the Bears. The former Moses Brown standout potted her first career goal against UMass-Lowell on Tuesday.
BUNTING GETS FIRST HATTY IN OVER TWO YEARS
Abby Bunting's three goals against Harvard on April 4 marked the senior's first hat trick since March 30, 2013 against Dartmouth. Bunting also chipped in with a goal against the Riverhawks on Tuesday and ranks third on the team with 19 points.
DAHLE POSTS CAREER HIGH THREE POINTS
Freshman Emma Dahle has elevated her play recently with a five-game point streak (5-4-9) and now ranks fifth on the team in scoring with 14 points.
TOY STORY
Junior Lauren Toy paces the Brown offense with 33 points on 25 goals and eight assists over 13 games. Toy has netted hat tricks in five games this season, including a career high four-goal outburst at Colgate on March 24. She also posted three goals and an assist against San Diego State on March 31 and added a pair against UMass-Lowell on April 14. Toy currently rides a seven-game point streak and has tallied a point in 11-of-13 contests this season.
ROWDY RODDY
Goaltender Kellie Roddy ranks 20th nationally with a .474 save percentage and ranks second in the Ivy League with 7.62 saves per game.
Senior co-captain Alyssa DiBona has found success on the draws this season, averaging 3.69 controls per game, good for second in the Ivy League and 32nd nationally.
SERIES HISTORY – DARTMOUTH
The Big Green holds a 28-11 edge in the all-time series and currently rides a six-game winning streak over the Bears, including a 10-9 comeback win in Providence last season. Brown last scored a win over Dartmouth in 2008, an 8-5 decision over the 20th ranked Big Green on March 29 of that season.
SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
The Bears will look to contain Jaclyn Leto and Sarah Byrne, Dartmouth's only two double-figure scorers this season. Leto's 37 goals rank third in the Ivy League and her 3.08 goals per game rank 15th nationally. Byrne's 22 points ranks second on the team, while her 40 draw controls rank first. In goal, Jessica Frieder has started all 12 games, earning a 11.28 goals against average and .406 save percentage.
