
Women's Swimming & Diving Dropped By Yale, 171-72

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Brown women's swimming and diving team battled the Yale Bulldogs hard before ultimately falling, 171-72, at the Kiphuth Exhibition Pool on Saturday.
Senior Kate Dillione (Newtown, Pa.) continued her strong season in the 50 Free, finishing first overall with a mark of 23.60, before nabbing a second place finish in the 100 Butterfly 56.49.
The duo of Aja Grande (Honolulu, Hawaii) and Reia Tong (Bethesda, Md.) finished first and second respectively in the 100 Freestyle with times of 51.86 and 52.23.
Other notable performances included reigning ECAC Co-Rookie of the Week honoree Jenna Zagoren (Cherry Hill, N.J.), Emma Wyke (Columbus, Ind.), and Korbyn Simpson's (Baltimore, Md.) strong results in the 100 Backstroke.
The quartet of Dillione, Grande, Simpson, and Tong added another first-place relay performance to their resume with a mark of 3:26.39 in the 400 Freestyle Relay, concluding the afternoon for the Bears.
Brown will host the feBRUINvite, an invitational event, next Saturday and Sunday as a tune-up for the Ivy Championships.
