PRINCETON, N.J. – The Brown men's swimming and diving team finished seventh overall at the 2015 Ivy League Championships at the conclusion of the third and final day of action at Princeton's DeNunzio Pool.
Brown finished the weekend with 634 points, as Princeton claimed their 30th Ivy title with 1,519 points overall.
"I'm proud of our men, we broke six school records and improved each evening during finals," said Head Coach Chris Ip. "We just ran out of bullets in our quest to move the program up in the standings. I want to thank our seniors that invested in a new coaching staff and helped pull our team together."
The Bears shattered six school records this weekend, with sophomore Connor Lohman (Prospect, Ky.) breaking Conor Carlucci's previous record set in the 200 Breaststroke with a mark of 1:59.23 on Saturday, good for an NCAA B-cut qualifier.
In the 200 Butterfly, freshman Riley Springman continued his strong rookie campaign with a fifth place finish and NCAA B-cut time of 1:45.96.
Sophomore Jonathon Schlafer's strong Friday performance earned him a spot in Saturday's finals of the 3-meter diving event. Schlafer posted a score of 252.15, good for eight overall.
Nicholas Johnston also performed well on Saturday with an NCAA B-cut time of 1:46.32 in the 200 Backstroke.
