PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's swimming and diving team finished second at this weekend's Brown Classic, a three-day event held at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
The Bears finished with 807 points, while Princeton topped the field with 1,030 points.
"This was a great finish for the men's program maintaining our second-place standing for the Brown Invite and winning the dual meet against Dartmouth," said Head Coach Chris Ip. "This weekend's competition gave us important information about our team dynamics and a solid platform for our Ivy League Championship preparation."
Sunday's action began with the 1,650 Free, an event in which Grant Casey (15:41.58) and Cory Mayfield (15:41.62) placed third and fourth respectively for the Bears.
The 200 Back finals saw freshman Willy Lee and sophomore Nicholas Johnston place in the top-eight before sophomore Connor Lohman scored an impressive second-place finish in the 200 Breast (2:02.84).
Riley Springman, Alexander Treil, and Brendan Woo all recorded top-eight finishes in the 200 Fly to highlight day three.
Brown returns to action on Jan. 17, hosting Harvard and Penn beginning at 4 p.m.
