PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown University men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Princeton's West Windsor Fields on Saturday, Nov. 1 for the 2014 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships. The women's race (6K) will start at 11 a.m. followed by the men's race (8K) at noon.
After the women's team took seventh at the Ivy Championship last season, the Bears feature a group of talented runners this time around, made up of veteran leaders and promising rookies.

The men's side finished eighth at the 2012 Championship last season, paced by then-junior Mark McGurrin who placed 46th overall, while Columbia claimed the top spot one year ago.
Senior Jordan Mann (St. Louis, Mo.) has been a bright spot for the Bears this season, leading the team to a third-place finish at the Iona Meet of Champions and the first-place showing at the New England Championships. Most recently, sophomore Tucker Hamilton (Colorado Springs, Colo.) turned-in a second-place finish at the Rothenberg Run, while junior Will Sheeran (Bellevue, Wash.), sophomore Martin Martinez (Waukegan, Ill.) and rookie Matt Mahoney (Swampscott, Mass.) will be in the mix for solid finishes on Saturday.
