Women's Crew Wins Collegiate Women 8+ at Head of Housatonic

DERBY, Conn. – Brown University women's crew opened its fall season on Saturday, winning the Collegiate Women 8+ event, at the Head of the Housatonic on the Housatonic River.
The Bears' top entry won the race out of 31 entries in a time of 14:25, eight seconds ahead of a Yale boat, which finished in 14:33.
Brown entered another three boats into the race with those crews coming in fifth (14:44), seventh (14:51), and 18th (15:46) respectively in the 11 a.m. race.
Next, Brown continues its fall season at the Head of the Charles from Oct. 18-19.
