Brown Holds Off Williams, 5-4

Providence, R.I. - In a thrilling match in Williamstown, MA, the Brown women's squash team came away with a hard-fought 5-4 win over Williams College.The ninth-ranked Bears extended their record to 8-1 with the victory over the Ephs.
Junior Dori Rahbar paced the Brown squad with a solid 3-1 win at number one. Sophomore Mina Shakarshy came through at number three, taking a 3-1 victory.
Brown earned wins at numbers seven through nine to pull out the match. Freshman Skylar Murphy battled for a five game decision at number seven, senior Sarah Beresford had an easy 3-0 win at number eight, and freshman Emily Richmond came through with a 3-0 decision at number nine.
Brown is back in action again Sunday, January 27, hosting Bates and Bowdoin at the Pizzitola Sports Center's Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion. All the action starts at 11:00 a.m.
