Brown Advances To Kurtz Cup Finals With Wins Over George Washington and Bates

Princeton, New Jersey - The Brown women's squash team progressed in the National Team Championships to reach the Kurtz Cup final with a thrilling win against Bates, 6-3, Saturday morning at Princeton. The Bears now play in the final of the Kurtz Cup at 11:00 am at Jadwyn Gym Princeton on Sunday.

Leading the way in the key win over Bates was sophomore Sarah Crosky at #2, who won in four games playing outstanding squash. At #3, freshman Dori Rahbar won in three games. Senior co-captains Carolyn Tilney and Sophie Scherl both won in three games playing as well as they can at #4 and #5. At #7 sophomore Lydia Smith lost her first game and then settled to win the remaining three games in a hard fought match. Junior Erika Kohnen won at #9 playing her best squash of the season.
