Bears Post Wins Over Bowdoin and Amherst To Kick-Off The New Year

Brown's 13th ranked men's squash team returned from semester break to post victories over Bowdoin, 7-2, at the Pizzitola Sports Center, and then on the road at Amherst, 9-0.
The Bears were especially strong at the top of the lineup with junior Brad Thompson, senior Adrian Leanza and freshman Blake Reinson winning both matches at one, two and three, respectively. Thompson defeated Bowdoin 3-0, and Amherst, 3-1, while Leanza captured both matches by a 3-0 margin. Reinson earned a 3-1 win over Bowdoin, and a 3-0 victory over Amherst.
Brown also had double winners from six through nine in the lineup – sophomore Eamon O'Connor, junior Tucker Bryan, sophomore Alex Hsu and freshman Philip Holberton.
Brown will be back in action on Saturday, January 22, at the Yale Round Robin, facing St. Lawrence (2:00 p.m.) and Middlebury (7:00 p.m.).
