HANOVER, NH – Senior Erika Lum's (Hawaii-Kai, HI) first career goal just 1:38 into the game would stand as the game-winner as the Brown women's soccer team (1-1-0) earned a 3-0 victory over Colgate (1-4-0) on Sunday afternoon in the Dartmouth Nike Classic. Lum added her second career goal 16 minutes after halftime and then senior Gina Walker's (Canyon Country, CA) first of the season with 10 minutes remaining would account for the 3-0 final.

The Bears dominated the shot category, outshooting the Raiders, 12-5, including an 8-3 margin in the second half and a 7-0 advantage in shots on goal, as neither Amber Bledsoe (Withamsville, OH) nor MC Barrett (Ithaca, NY) needed to make a save to help Brown record its first shutout of the year.

Lum's first goal came on a free kick from just outside the box that sailed into the upper right corner, while her second goal was set up by junior Marybeth Lesbirel (Holmdel, NJ). Lesbirel also had a hand in Walker's goal to earn her second point of the 2010 season.

Lum, Walker and freshman Kiersten Berg (Salt Lake City, UT) paced Brown with three shots each, while Lesbirel recorded two.

At the conclusion of the Tournament, Lum, Walker and junior Allison Kagawa (Mililani, HI) were named to the All-Tournament team. Lum also garnered Offensive MVP honors.

The Bears continue action on Wednesday, September 8, when they travel to Boston to face #6 Boston College in a 7:00 p.m. contest.
