Bears Win Three Doubles Flights at Northeast Intercollegiate

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown men's tennis team continued action at
the Northeast Intercollegiate on Saturday afternoon with three
doubles pairings winning their respective flights and a fourth
pairing winning the backdraw of their flight. In singles action,
six Bears will face off against each other on Sunday in the finals
of three flights, while two more players are also in the finals of
their flights, as Brown has eight members of the team scheduled to
play in Sunday's singles finals.
In doubles action, Brown's teams of sophomore Tom Deighton (London,
England) and freshman Brandon Burke (Kingston, Jamaica) claimed the
Circle Flight, whlie the team of freshman Sam Fife (Scarsdale, NY)
and senior Kendrick Au (St. John's, NF) won the Square flight.
Junior Andrew Yazmer (Simsbury, CT) and freshman Soufiane Azargui
(Burlington, ONT) won the Star flight, while sophomores Luciano Musella (Fort Lauderdale, FL) and Miles Garrigues claimed the
backdraw of the Heart flight.
Brown concludes action at the Northeast Intercollegiate on Sunday
with the following members of the team schedule to compete in
singles finals: Fife, Deighton, sophomore Mike Hill (Topsham, ME),
sophomore Timmy Klanke (Potomac, MD), Au, Burke, Azargui, and
Musella.
