
Craig Lake Steps Down As Director of Track & Field and Cross Country At Brown

Providence, Rhode Island - Craig Lake, the Director of Men's and
Women's Cross Country and Track & Field at Brown University
since 2005, has stepped down from her position to pursue other
options, in an announcement made by Brown Athletic Director Michael
Goldberger.
At Brown, Lake's 2009 women's cross country team
captured the New England Championship, and her 2005 and 2007
men's cross country teams captured New England titles.
Lake's 2007 women's indoor team finished second at the
Heptagonal Championship. She has coached over 30 first team All-Ivy
selections, and 14 Academic All-Ivy honorees.
Lake also coached two-time All-American, Anna Willard '06, one of
the most successful woman distance runner in the history of the
program, with school records in the 800m, 1,500m, 3k, 5k, and the
Steeplechase. Willard competed in the steeplechase in Osaka, Japan,
at the World Championships in August, 2007, and competed in the
2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in the steeplechase.
Lake will be replaced on an interim basis by 10-year Brown
assistant coach Michelle Eisenreich.
