Brown Athletics Partners with Toys for Tots this Holiday Season

Providence, RI – Brown Athletics has once again is proud to be a part of the Toys for Tots campaign for the 2010 holiday season.
At certain games, everyone who brings in a new, unopened toy will receive a complimentary ticket to a game later in the season. The campaign starts at the football game against Columbia on Saturday, November 20 and will end with the women's basketball game against URI on December 8.
"It is another opportunity for the Brown Community to come together for a great cause." said Michael Goldberger, Director of Athletics, "This will allow children in Rhode Island to have a happy holiday season that might not have been possible."
Founded in 1947, Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which donates toys to children whose parents cannot afford to provide gifts during the holiday season.

November 20 – Football
November 23 – Women's Basketball*
November 24 – Men's Basketball*
November 26 – Women's Ice Hockey*
December 3 – Men's Ice Hockey and Women's Basketball*
December 4 – Men's Ice Hockey*
December 5 - Women's Basketball*
December 7 – Men's Ice Hockey*
December 8 – Women's Basketball*
*Donate a toy and receive a voucher for two free tickets to a game later in the season
